Panthers Show Fight in Back-to-Back Home Games

North Bay, ON — The Canadore Panthers men's basketball team battled hard in two home matchups this weekend, falling to Niagara 94–81 on Saturday and Conestoga 101–61 on Sunday. Despite the results, the Panthers displayed offensive sparks and strong individual performances.

Game 1: Niagara 94, Canadore 81 (Nov. 29)

Canadore came out aggressive, shooting 48.6% from the field and scoring 81 points, their second-highest output of the season. The Panthers dominated inside and moved the ball well, but Niagara's hot shooting from deep (15 threes) proved decisive.

Top Performers:

• Royal Egbonkhan led the Panthers with 20 points and 5 rebounds.

• Kejon White posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.

• Woodli Cime added 15 points, including two triples, while Favour Okonkwo contributed 8 points and a team-high 8 assists.

Canadore won the rebounding battle 43–40, but free-throw struggles (8-of-24) and turnovers (20) hurt their chances late.

Game 2: Conestoga 101, Canadore 61 (Nov. 30)

The Panthers faced a tough Conestoga squad that shot 51.3% from the floor and hit 13 threes. Canadore fought hard but couldn't overcome a cold shooting stretch in the third quarter.

Top Performers:

• Kejon White led the way with 14 points and 12 rebounds, recording his second straight double-double.

• Royal Egbonkhan added 14 points, while Jonathan Tshienda chipped in 9 points and 3 assists.

• Zuriel Mhlongo scored 8 points, and Woodli Cime contributed 6 points and 6 rebounds off the bench.

The Panthers showed resilience at the free-throw line, hitting 69%, and continued to battle on the boards with 34 rebounds.
