Panthers Show Offensive Sparks Despite Tough Road Losses

North Bay, ON — The Canadore Panthers men's basketball team faced two challenging road matchups this weekend, falling to Redeemer University 100–74 on Saturday and Sheridan College 110–76 on Sunday. Despite the results, the Panthers displayed offensive improvement and strong individual performances.

Game 1: Redeemer 100, Canadore 74 (Nov. 22)

Canadore opened the game with energy, scoring 22 points in the first quarter, but turnovers and defensive lapses allowed Redeemer to pull away in the second half.

Top Performers:

  • Zuriel Mhlongo led the Panthers with 21 points on 9-of-15 shooting, adding 4 rebounds.
  • Royal Egbonkhan posted a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds, anchoring the paint.
  • Favour Okonkwo contributed 14 points, while Kejon White added 12 points and 3 steals off the bench.

Canadore shot 35% from the field and grabbed 39 rebounds, but 26 turnovers proved costly against Redeemer's balanced attack.

The Panthers bounced back offensively against Sheridan, shooting 46.6% from the floor and scoring 76 points, their highest output of the season.

Top Performers:

Canadore dominated the offensive glass with 14 rebounds and showed improved ball movement, but Sheridan's depth and transition game proved too much to overcome.
