Panthers Battle Hard in Back-to-Back Road Games

North Bay, ON - The Canadore Panthers men's basketball team hit the road this weekend for a tough OCAA doubleheader, facing off against two competitive opponents in Humber College and Conestoga College. Despite strong individual performances and stretches of solid play, the Panthers came up short in both contests, falling to 0–6 (0–6 OCAA) on the season.

Saturday, November 8 – Humber 118, Canadore 59

The Panthers opened the weekend against a powerhouse Humber Hawks squad in Etobicoke. The Hawks came out firing, building an early lead that Canadore was unable to overcome, ultimately dropping the contest 118–59.

Forward Royal Egbonkhan led the way for Canadore with 16 points and 4 rebounds, while Kejon White added 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists. Jonathan Tshienda provided a steady inside presence with 7 points and 7 boards, and Baron Kabeya chipped in 6 rebounds.

Canadore found its rhythm late, shooting over 60% in the fourth quarter, but Humber's balanced attack and bench depth made the difference — the Hawks' reserves accounted for 82 of their points.

Sunday, November 9 – Conestoga 94, Canadore 69

The Panthers showed resilience in a quick turnaround against Conestoga College on Sunday afternoon. After a competitive first quarter, the Condors used a strong second-quarter run to create separation and held on for a 94–69 win.

Woodli Cime led Canadore with 17 points, including three three-pointers, while Zuriel Mhlongo added 16 points and went 8-for-9 from the free throw line. Kejon White continued his steady weekend performance with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, and Jonathan Tshienda provided a spark off the bench with 7 points and 4 rebounds.

Canadore held its own on the boards, collecting 40 rebounds as a team, and got strong contributions from its bench, which outscored Conestoga's 31–26. However, the Condors' efficient perimeter shooting (42% from three) and ability to convert turnovers into points made the difference down the stretch.
