PANTHERS TOUGH TRIP DOWN SOUTH

(North York, ON) - The Canadore Panthers women's volleyball team opened their 2023-24 season on the road with a couple matches, looking to capture their first win of the year. First stop, North York, ON against Seneca Sting.

The Panthers Women's Volleyball team came up short with a 0-3 (19-25, 20-25, 22-25) sets lost to Seneca Sting. The Panthers battled throughout the match but wasn't able to gain any ground on Seneca, as they were lead to victory behind the performance of first year player Jess Garcia who finshed with 16 kills.

Domenica DeFrancesco (Barrie, ON) had 6 kills for the Panthers, while Kira Fahrbach (Ingersoll, ON) posted 5 kills. Melissa McFadden (Hamilton, ON) earned 18 out of Canadore' s 20 assists.

Next for the Panthers will be at Loyalist Lancers on Oct. 22. First serve is slated for 1 p.m. and will be streamed live on OCAA LIVE.

 

(Belleville, ON) - The Canadore Panthers women's volleyball team look to their second regular season game for their first win as they take on Loyalist Lancers.

The Panthers Women's Volleyball team came up short once again with a 1-3 (25-19, 15-25, 16-25, 23-25,) sets lost to Loyalist Lancers. With the Panthers taking set one behind a strong performance from third year player Carlie Pappano (North Bay, ON), the Panthers weren't able to capitalize as Loyalist pulled away in the second, third and a very close fourth set to close out the match.

Carlie Pappano (North Bay, ON) finished with 13 kills, while Melissa McFadden (Hamilton, ON) added 3 aces and collected 32 out the 34 assists for Canadore. Meadow Gillespie (North Bay, ON) lead the team in digs with 11.

Next for the Panthers will be at home to take on the Fleming Phoenix on Oct. 27. with first serve slated for 6 p.m. and Durham Lords on Oct. 28. with first serve slated for 1 p.m. Both games will be stremed live on OCAA LIVE.
