Panthers Battle Hard in Four-Set Loss to Georgian
North Bay, ON — The Canadore Panthers men's volleyball team showed grit and determination on home court Saturday afternoon but fell to the Georgian Grizzlies in four sets (25-19, 21-25, 18-25, 19-25) at the Canadore College Gym.
The Panthers came out strong, taking the opening set 25-19 behind aggressive attacking and solid defense. However, Georgian responded with three straight set wins, capitalizing on timely blocks and consistent serving to close out the match.
Panthers Highlights
- Mason Begg led the offense with 15 kills on an impressive .483 hitting percentage, adding 10 digs and a block for 17 points.
- Sean Malherbe contributed 10 kills and 6 digs, while Konrad Siedlec added 9 kills, 8 digs, and a team-high 3 service aces.
- Setter Spencer Corston directed the attack with 37 assists and chipped in 7 digs.
- Defensively, Kahled Bryant and Hallen Ettles each recorded a block, helping Canadore stay competitive at the net.
As a team, Canadore posted 43 kills, 50 digs, and 6 service aces, showing strong effort despite Georgian's offensive efficiency.
