CANADORE MEN’S BASKETBALL ADDS FLOOR GENERAL MORGAN SPYLO

NORTH BAY, ON - The Canadore Panthers Men's Basketball program is excited to announce the commitment of Morgan Spylo, a 5'11 point guard from Stouffville, Ontario.

Spylo joins the Panthers after developing his game with Mumba Academy and brings a high basketball IQ, leadership, and a team-first mentality to Canadore's backcourt. A true pass-first point guard, he takes pride in making the right reads, creating opportunities for teammates, and impacting the game on both ends of the floor.

While facilitating the offense is his first instinct, Spylo is equally capable of scoring at all three levels. He has the ability to get into the paint under control, play off two feet, finish around the basket, and knock down perimeter shots when called upon.

"Morgan is the type of point guard every coach enjoys having," said Head Coach Bill Crowdis. "He makes the right plays, understands how to control the pace of a game, and puts his teammates in positions to be successful. He's a leader who competes every possession, and his ability to get into the paint under control while also stretching the floor with his shot gives us another reliable playmaker. I'm excited to have Morgan joining our program."

Spylo is eager to begin the next chapter of his basketball journey at Canadore.

"I'm excited to continue my academic and athletic career at Canadore College," said Spylo. "I'm from Stouffville, Ontario, and previously played for Mumba Academy. I bring leadership, work ethic, and a competitive drive to become the best basketball player I can be and help my team compete against the best. I pride myself on being a pass-first point guard who can contribute on both sides of the floor and is capable of scoring at all three levels."

With his leadership, basketball IQ, and unselfish approach to the game, Spylo adds another important piece to an exciting 2026 recruiting class as the Panthers continue building a competitive program for the future.
