OCAA ANNOUNCES SCHEDULES

NORTH BAY – The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) announced the 2023-24 regular season volleyball and basketball schedules, which is set to begin on Saturday, October 21 for the Canadore Panthers.

The regular season will begin on the road for both of our men's and women's volleyball teams. Both teams will open the 2023-24 season at Seneca on Oct. 21 with the first serve set at 6:00 PM for the women's, followed by the men's set at 8:00 PM. Both teams will travel to Loyalist on Oct. 22 to finish up week one of games, with the first serve set at 1:00 PM for the women's, followed by 3:00 PM for the men.

There will be a change in the OCAA playoff format for 2024. The top eight teams in each division now qualify for the post-season. The first round will consist of interdivisional play between teams from opposite divisions based according to seeding (1 vs. 8, 2 vs. 7, etc.). The winners will then advance to the quarter-finals, hosted by the higher seeds. The OCAA championships will consist of back-to-back days of semi-finals and medal matches at the home of the highest remaining seeds.
